An AI Wrote This Blog Post

I had ChatGPT role play as DAN and write me a blog post.

“In today’s fast-paced business world, it’s not enough to simply be good at your job. No, you must also be seen as busy at all times, even if you’re actually just scrolling through social media or napping in your office. After all, if you’re not constantly on the go, you must not be working hard enough, right?

But how do you master the art of pretending to be busy? It’s simple, really. All you need is a few props and a lot of acting skills. Here are some tips to get you started:

  1. Always carry a stack of papers or a clipboard with you wherever you go. This will make you look like you’re on your way to an important meeting, even if you’re just wandering aimlessly around the office.
  2. When in doubt, just type furiously on your computer. It doesn’t matter if you’re actually doing anything productive, as long as it looks like you’re working hard.
  3. Use corporate buzzwords and phrases whenever possible. Throw around terms like “synergy” and “streamlining processes” to make it sound like you know what you’re talking about.
  4. Attend as many meetings as possible, even if they have nothing to do with your job. This will give the illusion that you’re an important part of the team, even if you’re really just there for the free coffee.
  5. Never be seen without a cup of coffee in your hand. It’s a well-known fact that busy people drink a lot of coffee, so make sure you always have a cup nearby.
  6. If all else fails, just walk around with a look of intense concentration on your face. People will assume that you’re working on something important, even if you’re really just trying to remember if you left your oven on.

By following these simple tips, you too can become a master of the art of pretending to be busy. Just remember, it’s not about actually getting things done – it’s about looking like you’re getting things done. And isn’t that what corporate success is all about?”

Number 9

There are tons of great games for the Nintendo Switch, and when it comes down to it, this game is worthy of its place on the top ten.

Game number 9 is none other than….

Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle!

Mario Rabbids is a surprisingly great game. While it may look like it’s limited to comical mischief, this game boasts an excellent turn-based fighting system.

Take turns fighting your opponents as you struggle to save the mushroom kingdom from an all-new threat.

Enjoy the destructive chaos as you fight your opponents in all kinds of fun and wacky ways. From the classic Mario jump attacks, to rubber ducky hand grenades, this game has it all.

Choose your dream team as you combine heroes’ unique abilities to form an unstoppable squad. Each character has their own unique stats that can mean the difference between winning and losing. (Luigi is the best.)

Save up to purchase all kinds of awesome weapons that can help you to eliminate your enemies.

Overall, Mario Rabbids has an exciting play style, mixed with plenty of humor, that combines to make a fun game.

A Perfect Plan

Have you ever had plans for something that just didn’t work out? You began working towards your goal, things were going great, and then you hit a dead end. This can be incredibly discouraging. It’s really hard to see your plans fall apart before your own eyes. You worked so hard for it, and now it all feels meaningless.

Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

This verse is an excellent reminder when our plans fall apart. It reminds us that God has a perfect plan and His plans never fail. All things work together for the good of those who love God. Even when it seems like everything is falling apart God is working for the good of those who love Him. Trust God when your plans fail. He loves you and He has a perfect plan.

Number 10

It’s hard to choose the top ten switch games, but I finally settled on tenth place. Number ten on the list of top ten switch games is none other than….

Mario Maker 2.

Have you ever wanted to make the courses that appear in the Mario Bros games? Mario Maker 2 gives you access to countless blocks, and sets you free to build the level of your dreams. The wide variety of blocks, and items enables you to dive into some of the more minute details of your course. Another awesome feature is the ability to change themes, you can choose from the classic Mario Bros styles, or take a more modern spin with the Mario Bros U theme. The additional world types allows you to choose between even more of the classic biomes when crafting your world.

Overall Mario Maker 2 was a fun game, and a great way to finally design that level you’ve always dreamed of.

Think I’ve lost my mind? Feel free to comment, and suggest a game for 9th place. See if you can influence the lineup and get your favorite game in the top ten.

Out of Context

“And whatever things you ask for in prayer, believing, you will receive.”* Sounds great right? I can finally get that Lamborghini I’ve always wanted. Maybe I’ll even order a burger while I’m at it.

Looking at this verse out of context can do us more harm than good. It does look like I can get whatever I want as long as I believe while I ask for it, but that’s not what this verse is saying. If we really want to understand the meaning of this verse, we need to look at it through the lens of the surrounding verses.

The events surrounding this verse can be found In Matthew 21:18-21. “Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away. And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?” So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

There are three “ifs” in this passage that we need to consider before we try to start calling down money, and tossing mountains in the river.

First: “If you have faith.” We need to have faith to cast the mountain into the sea. One of the things that we will begin to understand as we grow in faith is that God knows what is best. Another one of the things that we will have as we grow in faith are The Fruits of The Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. If we have faith in God, and are filled with His Spirit, do you think we will be throwing mountains in the sea just for fun? No, we will have the self control to avoid doing it.

Second: “Do not doubt.” We need to be completely trusting that God knows what is best for us, and will do so. If you doubt that He is able to cause the mountain to move into the sea, you are unable to tell it to do so. Part of trusting God, however, is also trusting in His plans.

Third: “Believing.” We have to believe that God will give us what we ask for. And the more we believe in Him, the more we trust in His plans for our lives.

God is fully capable of doing all these awesome things in our lives, and He wants what is best for us. When we ask Him for something it is important to remember how much He loves us, and how good His plans are. If you don’t get exactly what you asked for, just remember that God knows what is best, and He is working out His perfect plan in our lives. Also, remember that the more you put your trust in God, the more your desires will be in sync with His. When we really put our trust in God, we will be asking Him for what He wants, not our selfish desires.

Matthew 21:22

Real Treasure

What is something that you really value? Is it a car, a video game, maybe a family heirloom? All these things may feel like a treasure to you. How about something really good that happened to you recently? Did you do something that you really enjoy? Maybe you went hiking with some friends, or spent some time with your family.

All of these things may seem great, but in Philippians 3:7-8 Paul says:

“But what things were gain for me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ.”

Paul is explaining that all the things that he thought were benefiting him were actually worthless compared to the knowledge of Christ. Knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus is far greater than anything that can happen to us. It’s easy to get distracted chasing after things that we think will be good for us, but these things are nothing compared to the knowledge of Christ.

Hope For a New Year

It can be hard returning to our normal routines. After all, we just had a great break from the wear and tear of our daily lives. It was great celebrating Christmas and ringing in the new year, but now it feels like there is nothing to look forward to. The good news is that there is something great coming soon.

Revelation 22:12-13 says: “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first, and the last, the beginning and the end.

For those who have given their lives to Christ this is great news! Jesus will be coming soon, and that is something incredible to be looking forward to! If you have been having a hard time coping with returning to the routine, you have something wonderful coming soon. Set your eyes upon Jesus, and look forward to His return. His love never fades, and His joy never wears thin.

If you haven’t put your trust in Jesus, now is the time to. Sometime soon He will return and judge the world. We are all worthy of His judgement, but the good news is that He saved us. Jesus died so that we could be free from sin. Trust in Him to give you joy and peace, He will never fail you.

Life Adventure Games 2023

It’s a new year, and I am hoping to make it a better one. Last year I started Life Adventure Games in an effort to earn a Freedom Experience for Trail Life U.S.A. I began with a recap of the Summer Adventure, and continued to write from there. From Ocarinas, to joking about Elon Musk’s burnt hair perfume, L.A.G. has been going through the exciting roller-coaster of life. As we enter into a new year, I am looking for your perspective on how to make 2023 an even better year for Life Adventure Games.

Whether this is your first time visiting the site, or you’ve been around since day one, I am looking for your input and advice for the coming year. Click the button below to access the L.A.G. 2022 survey.

The Savior is Born!

The time had come for Jesus to be born. After all those years of waiting the Son of God had finally come!

Luke 2:1-7 says: “In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed,
who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”

It’s somewhat shocking that the Son of God was born in a manger. Jesus deserved far more than that, but He loves us so much that He was willing to be born in a manger. Jesus’ life is full of sacrifice and humility. God was willing to step down from the highest of high, to the lowest of lows, for us. As we reflect on the love and humility of Jesus this Christmas, let’s take time to show His love to others. It could be something as simple as taking some time from something that you wanted to do, and spending that time helping someone who needs it. Be sure to spread the love of Jesus this Christmas.
